Solex powder heat exchanger is a specialized heat exchanger for cooling, heating, and drying solid particles. It is not a simple hardware combination, but a technology that breaks through the traditional understanding of solid particle heat transfer. It is an effective combination of dense phase flow theory, Platecoil heat transfer plate technology, and Solex's dedicated powder heat transfer design model software ThermPro.

More than 3000 application cases worldwide demonstrate that Solex powder heat exchangers can effectively heat, cool, and dry solid particles, making them a low-cost, low-energy, and pollution-free solution.

PLATECOIL HEAT EXCHANGER

A Platecoil heat exchanger consists of one to several Platecoil heat exchange plates. Platecoil heat exchange plates are a type of flat plate heat exchanger, also known as pillow plates, dimple plates, honeycomb plates, or heat transfer plates, which can be made in various shapes and sizes according to requirements.
The Platecoil heat exchanger plate consists of two metal plates, which are laser welded together using a customized circular welding pattern to form weld points. The edges of the plates are fully laser welded to form weld seams. After welding, perform bulging to make the metal plate bulge and form a cavity. The heat exchange fluid flows through the channels inside the Platecoil heat exchange plate, and the cooled or heated material flows through the inter plate channels. The two heat exchange fluids indirectly exchange heat through the metal plate wall.
According to different application fields, products, pressures, and temperatures, non-standard design is required for the material type, thickness, weld position, bending line position, welding point position, and spacing of Platecoil heat exchange plates.

Process control

The Solex powder heat exchanger consists of four parts: feed bin, Platecoil heat exchange plate group, feeder, and control system.
Under continuous operation, the control system adjusts the discharge speed to maintain the material level in the feed bin when the incoming material flow rate changes.
In cooling systems, Solex powder heat exchangers typically use cold water supplied through cooling tower systems or closed-loop chiller systems (as a cooling medium). The heating medium in the heating system can be hot water, steam, or thermal oil.
