Heat exchanger seals
The seals (or gaskets) of the plate heat exchanger are intended for the separation of the circuits of the main main criterion for the seals used - long-term stability against the impact of the working medium
Sealing gaskets, as a rule, are made of different elastomers. Seals from NBR, EPDM, chloroprene are most common; rarely Viton, ftoroplast.
Depending on the operating conditions of the heat exchanger and the properties flowing in the medium, the seals may be mechanically attached or may adhere to the plate.
